The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department has served the Livingston community protecting life and property since 1921. Under the leadership of a full-time Fire Chief and Assistant Chief, the Department operates with a staff of more than 70 unpaid volunteer firefighters, including three volunteer Deputy Chiefs. The members of the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department are on call twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year to provide fire protection and other emergency services to the citizens of Livingston.
